The Third Chair Chamber Players are ready to travel to
Cambridge this summer for two Concerts
on the Creek performances. If you haven't been here before,
come out for our sixth season—you're in for a real treat! The setting
is idyllic, on the hill overlooking the convergence of Medicine Creek
and the Republican River. The evening begins at 5:00 with conversation
and drinks. At 5:30 a light dinner is served on the deck; then at 6:30
the party moves inside to the great room for a program of entertaining
and inspiring chamber music. Dessert is served at intermission. After
the concert you are invited to linger on the deck under the southwest
evening sky to socialize with friends and musicians.
The June 25th evening begins with an incredible gourmet
meal prepared by Chef Dick Barnes of Cambridge. On the musical program
you'll hear a jazz suite by Claude Bolling for flute, cello, piano and
percussion; two bassoon works, one with marimba and one with strings;
and the divinely gorgeous "Serenade" for string trio by Ernst
If you can't join us in June, plan now to be there on July
23rd, when we'll pair extraordinary cuisine by Chef Matt Sehnert with
more fabulous chamber music. The July program will feature winds, piano
and double bass in unique and delightful combinations. Reserve your
spot today! Better yet, come for both concerts if you can!
Reservations are $35 per person and are nonrefundable.
