TCCP's Favorite American Trios

Trumpet Player Deb Bouffard joins TCCP for this Series

TCCP has a special selection of trios for our patrons and new friends. We are putting to bed the idea that a trio is piano, violin and cello written by European composers. This weekend is all about American composers and unusual trios. Deb Bouffard, pianist Sheri Ericksen and clarinetist Ed Love will perform Normand Pepin's A Sweet Suite to open the evening. The group will change to clarinet, piano and cello played by Tracy Sands to perform Chris Ellenwood and Rick Sowash works. Violinist Donna Carnes joins Deb and Sheri to perform Trio by Eric Ewazen and the evening will close with a flamboyant arrangement by John Jensen of Albert Ginastera's Danza del gaucho matrero lead by TCCP percussionist Joe Holmquist.

Christian Ellenwood will be here for Friday nights performance

Lora Black will interview Chris about his career as a clarinetist and composer. Find out what inspires his composing muse while balancing teaching, fatherhood and department head at the University of Wisconson-Whitewater.

Tickets are available for both performances. You can call or text to 402.429.8227 or on line at Adults $22, Students $5 and those under 10 are free.
