Saturday, June 28, 2025 - 5:30 pm
72184 Crosscreek Road - Cambridge, Neb.
Join us for unique chamber music & fine cuisine overlooking the Republican River.
The program includes:
Sonata in Bb for One Piano, Four Hands, K. 358 - W. A. Mozart
Into the Deep - Daniel Baldwin
Prelude, Allegro, and Pastorale for Clarinet and Viola - Rebecca Clarke
Celebration V - Bill Douglas Clarinet Quintet in A Major, K 581 - W. A. Mozart
Musicians performing at COTC will be: Ed Love, Clarinet; Joyce Besch, Bassoon and Contrabassoon; Jack Rinke, Piano, Loretta Love, Piano; Donna Carnes, Violin; Kristie Pfabe, Violin; Clark Potter, Viola; Tracy Sands, Cello.
Clark and Ed will serenade the audience with a viola and clarinet duet, Jack and Loretta will perform a Mozart sonata for four hands (one piano), Joyce will wow with the contrabassoon and to complete the evening they all will join together for the Mozart Clarinet Quintet, and (with a nod to jazz influences), Celebration V by Bill Evens.
On a personal note, this concert is extra special because violist, Clark Potter, will retire from NCP following this performance with the group. Clark has been with NCP since 1997 and is one of three founding musicians, Clark, Ed Love and Becky Van de Bogart. Clark has given NCP too many memorable moments as a violist and as a member of the group to include here so we will recall them during the concert and invite any anecdotes the audience would like to share! He will continue as Maestro of the Lincoln Youth Symphony, Professor of Viola at UNL and concertizing. Although NCP will miss Clark, they are thankful for the past 28 years and wish him the best.
